I dont’ like lingerie photos in outdoors as parks (c’mon, why does lingerie has to remind to a prostitute?) at all, but these got my attention with Chanel Iman in front. Lingerie/Apparel by Roberto Cavalli, Mulberry, Diane Von Furstenberg. Photographed by David Romer [...]

That’s what I call a sexy lingerie look. Simple, yet with details those make blood boil. Stylist Carol Deny and photographer Renam Christofoletti nailed it – these lingerie pics go straight to lingerie photography heaven. Model Karen Nuernberg’s adds that [...]
Ann Summers isn’t known for it’s subtle design, rather for mainstream simple, sometimes cheesy and “have seen it somewhere before”. They are not pretending to be fashion designers and are accepted by masses for that same reason. The last campaign is just a small step for bringing just a tiny bit of connection with what a real photoshoot might look like. Nicole Meyer saves the day here – her charm is unbeatable.
Something about the model: Nicole Meyer is South African model, from Outlaws Model Agency.
Agent Provocateur hits with the Ad campaign for latest Autumn Winter 2012 campaign and as usual it gets sexy with all those cliche down-on-the-heels scenes. Probably poorest Ad campaign seen in years from Agent Provocateur. Even Mónica Cruz, sister of Penelope Cruz, doesn’t save the situation. It’s true that the gothic color palette of new designs somehow relates with Victorian London and all the sexual fantasies those were under taboo, but hardly controlled – but still, c’mon… and that sounds at least childish:
… the campaign tells the story of an enigmatic woman whose true Agent Provocateur spirit is revealed by a magical camera. Her inner sensuality is unveiled, and she mesmerizes and bewitches.
And regarding the new styles – well, yet another proof how British lingerie designers got obsessed with Light bondage lingerie style.
Also, apart from Whitney and Alexus sets there’s nothing that new, comparing to previous collections from Agent Provocateur.
Well, leaving you to judge how do you like the collection, hopefully you can set your sexual fantasies free, in Victorian London style;).

las·civ·i·ous:
1. Given to or expressing lust; lecherous.
2. Exciting sexual desires; salacious.
3. Driven by lust; preoccupied with or exhibiting lustful desires.
It’s impossible not to become preoccupied with lustful desires just having a quick glance at Lascivious Lingerie new look book for Autumn/Winter 2012. Previous collections were quite provocative, but this look book just kills it. One quick look at the Kitty set and you’ll get it.
That’s it, I’m out, I’m going.
Just a bit info on the collection straight from the authors:
Our AW12 collection is inspired by the notion of love as a binding entity – something you want to be chained to; lustful, base and raw. This mood and idea has been deconstructed to draw inspiration literally from flesh and bone – from our Lola collection, with its sinuous flowing design lines, through to Cara, which features an ivory bone colour over which a luxe gunmetal chain is digitally printed. …….. Highlights of leather and [faux] fur are included to stimulate the senses; the juxtoposition of hard and soft (heart and bone) echoing the central themes for all AW12 ranges.
I mean just look at those styles – I think it’s probably the first time when lingerie designer managed to get that ultra kinky Fifty Shades of Grey style into something not vulgar at all and at the same time not becoming pop, mainstream. Beat that, Provocateur.
Lust is overwhelming my mind, can’t think clearly now….

Now that China is on the world’s spotlight, inevitably minds of lingerie designers are wandering to far east from time to time. Even if it’s so unknown and full of secrets, you can’t deny the charm radiating from the ancient and nowadays culture.
La Perla is taking Asian lingerie to the mainstream shops all over the Western world with it’s “Oriental Suite” collection, Fall/Winter of 2012-13.
Silk kimono robes, frequent flower elements suggest Japanese and Chinese clothing styles have made biggest influence to this collection. Merging oriental silk mastery with Italian craftsmanship in lace something beautiful comes out.

The looks are quite inventive and in terms of modernism, in-line with where Asian countries are going to at the moment. Designs are pulsating with luxury, that is also quite a well seen quality once you get to know Chinese culture better.
I doubt many of those undergarments can be used as underwear, if you know what I mean – they shouldn’t be that comfortable to wear under the dresses. Most likely La Perla “Oriental Suite” pieces are meant to be seen, not hidden, anyways.

Often perceived as European (maybe because of French roots?), this Canadian intimate apparel brand usually carries a very strong one stable line of style over the years, with fabulous advertising pictures. They are so strong, persuasive and simply irresistible. I LOVE BLUSH. The Spring/Summer collections brings some challenge to the brand, as colorful lingerie sets are sort of rare in their dark, pale collections, those you unwillingly connect to whiskey / expensive hotel room / strong unique characters. Or could fit perfectly to Twilight Saga type of movies.
Blush Spring Summer 2012 collection brings in more light to the room. And you start believing Blush is not for the vampires only. Well, at least suits to their prey really well. And comparing to the progress from this.
The Parisian style house with a balcony is breathing with European feel. Europe, beware, they are coming. With undercover, renamed themselves to Suite B . http://www.suiteb.com/
To mess with our minds further, a pretty innocent behind the curtains video released:
Model Dana Drori: Started modeling early and worked with several well known clients, such as Clarins, L’Oreal, Marie Claire. Has a column in BlackBook Magazine. Dana Drori is Canadian, with Polish and Russian heritage.
That’s how a lingerie could have looked like in times of Casanova if Chantal Thomass would be living and creating then. The latest Fall / Winter 2012 collection campaign may easily get a label of “Casanova lingerie” if not sounding cheap.
Thanks to Coco Chanel, I can say I do like that glamour has evolved and became much more sophisticated – at least you can look glamorous even in black classic lingerie, you don’t require feathers, powdered wigs and all other fluffy stuff.
This collection is something in the middle between unacceptably cheesy Rococo/Baroque madness and subtle sense of beauty of simple lines. In general, a step back, let’s hope a temporary one for Chantal Thomass, to inspire something better with next collections – only couple pieces look quite charming, others are simply interesting to watch, but I highly doubt beautiful to wear.

Something about the brand Chantal Thomass: a lingerie designer that is recognized as the queen of really chic, glamorous lingerie. True haute couture of lingerie.
Just because it’s Rihanna and you have talented art directors, stylists, that all doesn’t mean the end result will be appealing.
Just like previous time time, when Rihanna promoted Armani Underwear (that looks like any ordinary underwear but priced like some masterpieces), this new Rihanna fashion editorial with Elle disappoints.
It only kinda looks “interesting” just because video production is great, photographer did his job well and it’s tempting to see a celebrity in lingerie.
But do you really really find this whole picture of ordinary black bra, terrible haircut, church, dramatic lightning somehow appealing?
Fashion editorial with Rihanna in Elle
And granny-pants-vintage-high-waisted-style panties with some fishnet clothing – I know there are many fashionistas and designers those are cheering and trying to convince it looks really good, but c’mon, it looks terrible.
Rihanna's granny high-waisted panties
I do understand director’s job is to create a convincing story, so here goes some drama:
Black simple bra, Rihanna's messy haircut, cliche quote - total zero
How the heck magazine such as Elle can allow this? Most likely that’s the part where having Rihanna pays their bills.

This photo saves the day – but only because Rihanna doesn’t dominate here:
Rihanna fashion editorial in US Elle 2012 May issue
And for a nice photo like this, Elle had to make Rihanna look like not Rihanna – if you wouldn’t see face, wouldn’t recognize her.

Video looks sort of ok, but in general – empty.
Please, drop Rihanna from Fashion magazines and do not let me see her in lingerie again.
