Now that lingerie design is inevitably getting pumped up with eroticism and it’s getting normal to see soft bondage type design in selection of major lingerie stockists, it still is important to keep some sense of taste and limits.  Speaking of see through lingerie, what first comes to mind is something from porn movies or selection of terribly looking cheap sheer panties in a million of lingerie e-shops. I bet only few would want to look as pornstars. Better go for irresistible femme fatale. And to achieve that, see through lingerie comes quite handy, with only few rules we can handle to turn the look to the right side.

First tip: don’t go cheap.  It sounds obvious, but as a rule cheap see through lingerie looks cheap too. You wouldn’t want to look as easy to get, would you? Better one higher quality sets, than many of poor quality. Andres Sarda, Forrest & Bob, Agent Provocateur, Lasciviousand many other middle price range lingerie designers have a good selection.

Go for something tasteful to cover your body or at least simple. Sense of taste is not for everybody, but it gets easier with respected magazines like Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour.com, Style.com, Vogue and many other. Most lingerie pieces and brands you’ll see have quite a good taste in design and are leaders in that usually. Look for them, trust them, and you’ll have a very high chance of success in this field.

Colors are risky too, as blue lingerie became kind of cliche. But there are tons of other suitable subtle colors you can choose from. Of course, the selection of colorful see through lingerie sets is not that good, but still. Still the design could be so subtle, so good that even pink will look  good and refreshing, as this set of see through bra and panties from Etam lingerie, Spring Summer 2011 collection, below:

Mesh is risky. Try to avoid it, but if you can’t, don’t over-try with it, keep it minimum, only for details, like bra, panties or hosiery.

See through panties can be subtle too. Panties shouldn’t be see through completely to achieve same seduction effect. You can have transparent part only on the part of bottocks, like these by Jenna Leigh Lingerie. Or have semi-transparent lace briefs (Palmetta below). Even your wedding dress can have see through undergarments (Kriss Soonikbelow)

When it comes to see through bra, make sure it’s semi-transparent, leaving some sense of secret. Completely see through bra is a no-go usually. There are many lingerie designers offering selection of sheer bras,  but I would note Andres Sarda as most talented in this area.
