Lingerie Look Book: Lascivious AW2012 – driven by lust

Lascivious lingerie - driven by lust

las·civ·i·ous:
1. Given to or expressing lust; lecherous.
2. Exciting sexual desires; salacious.
3. Driven by lust; preoccupied with or exhibiting lustful desires.

It’s impossible not to become preoccupied with lustful desires just having a quick glance at Lascivious Lingerie new look book for Autumn/Winter 2012. Previous collections were quite provocative, but this look book just kills it. One quick look at the Kitty set and you’ll get it.
That’s it, I’m out, I’m going.

Just a bit info on the collection straight from the authors:

Our AW12 collection is inspired by the notion of love as a binding entity – something you want to be chained to; lustful, base and raw. This mood and idea has been deconstructed to draw inspiration literally from flesh and bone – from our Lola collection, with its sinuous flowing design lines, through to Cara, which features an ivory bone colour over which a luxe gunmetal chain is digitally printed. …….. Highlights of leather and [faux] fur are included to stimulate the senses; the juxtoposition of hard and soft (heart and bone) echoing the central themes for all AW12 ranges.

I mean just look at those styles – I think it’s probably the first time when lingerie designer managed to get that ultra kinky Fifty Shades of Grey style into something not vulgar at all and at the same time not becoming pop, mainstream. Beat that, Provocateur.

Lust is overwhelming my mind, can’t think clearly now….

Asian lingerie re-imagined: Chinese touch in La Perla’s “Oriental Suite”, FW 2012

A Chinese touch in Oriental Suite collection by La Perla. Asian lingerie re-imagined

Now that China is on the world’s spotlight, inevitably minds of lingerie designers are wandering to far east from time to time. Even if it’s so unknown and full of secrets, you can’t deny the charm radiating from the ancient and nowadays culture.

La Perla is taking Asian lingerie to the mainstream shops all over the Western world with it’s “Oriental Suite” collection, Fall/Winter of 2012-13.

Silk kimono robes, frequent flower elements suggest Japanese and Chinese clothing styles have made biggest influence to this collection. Merging oriental silk mastery with Italian craftsmanship in lace something beautiful comes out.

The looks are quite inventive and in terms of modernism, in-line with where Asian countries are going to at the moment. Designs are pulsating with luxury, that is also quite a well seen quality once you get to know Chinese culture better.

I doubt many of those undergarments can be used as underwear, if you know what I mean – they shouldn’t be that comfortable to wear under the dresses. Most likely La Perla “Oriental Suite” pieces are meant to be seen, not hidden, anyways.

Pinup girl clothing: lingerie

Essentials of pinup girl clothing - lingerieBy definition, pin-up girl or “model” is a girl whose photos or paintings are pinned-up the wall for display. Because of many reasons, such as those pinup girls being glamour models, actresses or fashion models.

But you don’t care about definitions, you love the image of the pin-up girl and that’s enough to hunt for the look to fit you best. Best luck with that and don’t forget the essential detail – retro lingerie to go with your set. You wouldn’t want to miss that.

Now you wouldn’t want to go with some granny panties, so best is choosing something of modern appealing design, but with a touch of retro, something resembling style of 50′s. And that is pretty easy task, as so many of nowadays lingerie designers look back and get inspired and come up with the big selection of charming sets to your pin up girl clothing style.

There are number of lingerie brands offering styles those have resemblance to pinup girl style, just look at the selection of Agent Provocateur, Andres Sarda, La Perla, Myla and many others.

1. Go colorful, won’t miss

Old photos and posters might have been black/white, but don’t be mistaken – pin-up girls dresses and rich contrasting colors go together.

2. Be girlish.

Still, pinup girl clothing style is about looking feminine in a way of  being a little princess to treat.

3. Don’t go cheap, add some style and sense of luxury if situation dictates

Pinup girls were never cheap, rather glamour models, fashion models. Their undergarments had same level of style as their upper pin up clothing.

This set is perfect for refined tastes and upper class feel:

4. Be classy, no need for too much details or exposing your body too much.

A lingerie dress or body could be way more seducing than strings and transparent bras – don’t forget that and go confident with classy sets.

There’s always more secret in what’s hidden. If you want to go pinup style in a bedroom and win all attention, black satin pinup dress will make you look like a girl from a poster that so many fantasize about.

5. Avoid too much of vintage, add some modern contemporary feel.

Now you do like that vintage pinup girl clothing style, but let’s not forget it’s 21st century, nobody wants or needs to look outdated. If you have higher requirements for design, there are plenty of retro lingerie designers offering selection of some contemporary feel.

6. Nobody says you can’t be racy and provocative

If you feel comfortable about it – do it, show them what you’ve got with transparent pinup lingerie sets or even burlesque nipple tassels.

Nipple tassels might be purely of burlesque style, and might not fit with pinup dress, but who says they would not go nicely in more intimate environment? This pinup girl bra with opened up top might go without tassels and have more universal fit to any dress.

7. For outdoors, romantic flowery print and looseness will work if chosen well.

Sometimes there’s no need to restrain yourself and let it go freely. Pin up clothing is not about strict rules, it’s about looking iconic, outstanding.

8. Details for pin up clothing can be essential

Don’t forget details as hosiery for pin up girl style set. To attract attention to your legs, a more intense pattern could be chosen. As long as whole set is in harmony, should add a definite last dot to your killing pin-up looks.

Lingerie for vampires. Blush Spring/Summer 2012. With Dana Drori as prey

Often perceived as European (maybe because of French roots?), this Canadian intimate apparel brand usually carries a very strong one stable line of style over the years, with fabulous advertising pictures. They are so strong, persuasive and simply irresistible.  I LOVE BLUSH. The Spring/Summer collections brings some challenge to the brand, as colorful lingerie sets are sort of rare in their dark, pale collections, those you unwillingly connect to whiskey / expensive hotel room / strong unique characters. Or could fit perfectly to Twilight Saga type of movies.

Blush Spring Summer 2012 collection brings in more light to the room. And you start believing Blush is not for the vampires only. Well, at least suits to their prey really well. And comparing to the progress from this.

The Parisian style house with a balcony is breathing with European feel. Europe, beware, they are coming. With undercover, renamed themselves to Suite Bhttp://www.suiteb.com/

To mess with our minds further, a pretty innocent behind the curtains video released:
